About Me

Lewis Graham Portrait

I am a landscape and events photographer based in Sunderland, UK. I studied for an HND in Photography at Sunderland College, and a BA (Hons) Photography, Video and Digital Imaging at Sunderland University. I work with a Nikon Z8 and DJI Mini 2 Drone taking these with me when I travel. I volunteer as a coach for my local Youth Ten Pin Bowling Club, Excel YBC Sunderland, and have been around the country, bowling in many different centers. I have represented my county (County Durham) in 2014 and have had the privilege to represent my country at the Youth Triple Crown in 2022. I have been able to combine my passions for Photography and Ten Pin Bowling, by completing photoshoots of the competitions we host in the North-East. As well as this area of photography, I also undertake wedding and event photography and it has been a privilege to capture people’s special days. In Spring 2023, I worked with NHS patients to create an NHS Cookbook and have worked with Helen McArdle House to create and display work in their space for social prescribing.

My practice focuses on landscapes and architecture, inspired by travel in the North-East of England, as well around the rest of the UK. My work has been recognised by the local press, such as: BBC, ITV, Sunderland Council and the Sunderland Echo. I have created two of my own publications 'Progression', which document the developments happening around the regeneration of the City of Sunderland’, and the ‘Sustainable Road Trip’, which investigates the geographical, philosophical and ecological interconnections encountered travelling through the environments of the Anthropocene.
